BIKE
RODEO JULY 2010
On July 9, 2010 the Wilton Manors Police Department
held its annual bicycle safety rodeo at Island City Park Preserve.
The kids were taught bicycle safety and participated in races and
obstacle courses. All the kids’ bicycles were registered and
followed by a pizza party. Over 40 bicycles were registered, 30
bicycle helmets were given to kid that needed them.
Officer Petitpapa was assisted by Bicycle Officer Jordan, CSO Kijanka,
and Police volunteer Gloria.
Two bicycles were donated by the FOPA lodge #47 and raffled of
to a boy and a girl that participated in the rodeo.
