The Police Department instituted a program called “Volunteers In Policing” (VIP’s) in March 2007. VIPs contribute so much and help us a great deal, from fingerprinting the public, bookkeeping, Citizens on Patrol, coordinating special events such as Kiwanis Christmas In July, Kids Day, National Night Out against crime, and the list goes on and on… BUT most importantly they give us …. their time. The unit is supervised by Sgt. Chuck Howard and coordinated by PSA Kay McCammon. If you are interested in becoming part of our VIP Program, please contact Sgt.
